Bill Clerke

Partner – Managing Back Office and Human Resources

Bill is not only one of the original founding members, but he also brings over 50 years of construction expertise to the table. Hailing from Long Island, NY, Bill's journey in the construction industry began early in life, shaping his deep-rooted passion for building and renovation. In 1995, Bill moved himself and his family to Arizona, where shortly after, he co-founded a small company that would eventually grow into the esteemed construction firm known today as William Jackson Remodeling. With unparalleled knowledge, experience, and unwavering drive, Bill has been instrumental in the company's evolution and success.

Mike Ambrose

Partner – Managing the Design and Sales Division

Mike’s time at William Jackson is long-rooted. He is an Arizona Native, born and raised in Tempe, and after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, he found himself better suited to working in the custom woodworking shop owned by his soon-to-be father-in-law, Bill Clerke. Mike quickly absorbed the ins and outs of the business. As the company continued to expand, his growing knowledge combined with his natural charisma in customer relations aided in the evolution of his role into an ownership position, leading the company’s sales and design team. When he’s not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, watching & refereeing soccer, and sneaking in the occasional round of golf.


Gavin Pugh

Partner – Managing Field Operations and Construction

Growing up in a small town near central New York, Gavin worked side by side with his father in their family construction business. After attending college, he traveled West and made Gilbert, AZ, his home, where he’s settled in with his wife and 2 boys. He continued to hone his skills and knowledge, obtaining his general contractor’s license and starting his own successful business. He made the decision to join forces with William Jackson in 2013, which elevated the company’s offerings to the next level, making us a full-service design-build contractor. Gavin is a master craftsman with an unparalleled eye for detail. No challenge is too great for his team.

Senior Project Manager

William Jackson is thrilled to have Ryan and his 20+ years of experience in the industry. Originally from Wauconda, IL, Ryan relocated to Arizona in July 2022. His career in carpentry and project management began in 2000, during which he has demonstrated a strong commitment to craftsmanship and efficient project execution. Ryan is known for his meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills. These are the traits that continue to contribute to his success in delivering high-quality finished projects. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife of 27 years, Jan, and their two adult sons, Brandon and Pierson.


Tristan Walker

Project Manager

Tristan is rooted in project management with a rich background in the remodel industry and beyond. Growing up between California and London, England, Tristan developed a passion for construction at a young age, working under the guidance of his grandfather, who was a General Contractor. After serving in the U.S. Army for 8 years, Tristan transitioned back into civilian life and the construction industry. He relocated to Arizona in 2017, where he raises his young son. In the field, Tristan brings a unique blend of military discipline and craftsmanship to every project he undertakes. Outside of work, he enjoys Jiu-Jitsu with his son and exploring the great outdoors.

Stefany Phillips

Senior Designer

Stefany is a born and raised Chandler native, now living in Gilbert, Arizona. She is an accredited interior designer graduating from Northern Arizona University with her Bachelor’s degree in 2007. She has worked in both commercial and residential design, but her true passion lies in working with homeowners, helping them create and make their dream spaces a reality. She appreciates a multitude of design styles and believes function & form should work equally together. You’ll often hear her say, “Everyone lives differently in their space”, and that’s the approach she takes with each individual, problem-solving specifically to their needs. Outside of work, she is a wife, mother of two, animal rescue volunteer, and avid outdoor enthusiast. She can’t wait to work with you on your next project!


Amber Barney

Designer

Amber is a seasoned specialist working with homeowners, contractors, and other designers to help meet all of their project and cabinetry needs. She has a versatile background in the construction industry, including (but not limited to) countertops, fabrication, windows & doors, and hands-on house-flipping. Raised an army brat, Amber has lived all over but has always held a deep-rooted connection to Arizona, considering it her true home. In her time outside of WJ, Amber leads an active lifestyle as a fitness enthusiast and a professional skydiver. Her commitment to excellence in both her career and personal pursuits reflects her disciplined approach and determination to achieve remarkable results.
